Energy, Ideas, Impact: Voices that Will Shape Europe

Just returned fromYEYS2026, organised by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), with my student Alexandro (Management student at Magestil Vocational School, Lisbon - Magensinus SA).

I leave with deep admiration for these young participants and their commitment to shaping Europe’s future.

Their ability to reflect, exchange ideas, and develop concrete proposals was remarkable. I was particularly impressed by the students’ final presentations — thoughtful, confident, and full of vision and determination — which clearly demonstrated their drive to make a difference.

Experiences like this highlight the European Economic and Social Committee’s vital role in empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to European policymaking and the EUYouthStrategy.
